Welcome To Our Space Of Heartfelt Growth & Transformation

Shanti Wasi has offered retreats for growth and regeneration through the master teaching plants since 2008. We are a team of individuals committed to the health and well being of all.

Traditionally applied for healing in the Amazon basin, sacred plants support cleansing and alignment of body, mind, and spirit. They invite us into wholeness and open our awareness to the greater-than-human world.

Each of our retreats includes 2 nights of ceremony and a full day devoted to integration. They take place at the magical Ojo del Mar Ecolodge neighboring our home. Tucked into the lush forest at the edge of the sea, Ojo del Mar’s small and large cabins, beach house, and beachfront nests accommodate up to 25 participants. The lodge's amenities include free WiFi, parking, and tour assistance. â€‹

Accommodations, delicious meals made from fresh local produce, one-on-one consultations, live music, beaches, and waterfalls are included in the cost of $880 USD.

Please bring comfortable clothes, a flashlight, and a water bottle.

Arrive at Ojo Del Mar by 1 pm having eaten a light lunch. A team member will connect with you individually about the process, your intentions, and any other information you may wish to discuss. Relax with a swim, a walk on the beach, or meditate through the afternoon. We gather for the evening's ceremony at 5 pm.

DAY 2
The day begins with a light breakfast of fresh food from 7- 8:30 am, after which we come together to share our learnings from the previous night's ceremony. Relax or partake of acupuncture, massage, and other supportive treatments in the afternoon. We gather again at 5:30 pm for our second evening of ceremony.

DAY 3
This is an important day for reflecting, sharing, and being in heartfelt community, for listening to your body with the full support of the team in integrating your experiences. Breakfast is followed by a sharing circle and lunch. We’ll have a wholesome, nutritious family dinner, along with a restful evening with music and stories before sinking in to a good night's sleep.

An incredible weekend and life-changing experience. It took me many days of travel to get there from the other side of the world, however, it was worth every moment.

If you are looking to move forward with your life, this is a must do.

Ensure A Healthy Experience By Carefully Following These Guidelines

Preparing for Your Retreat

It is important to maintain a clean diet for at least 3 days before and after ceremony, eating foods that are as fresh as possible and abstaining from any that are overripe, preserved, smoked, cured, salted, or spoiled in any way. The longer you maintain a clean diet, both before and after ceremony, the deeper and longer the effect of the plant medicine stays with you. Prior to your first ceremony, we highly recommend following a clean diet for a full two weeks.

Certain substances and pharmaceuticals cause adverse reactions if combined with the plant medicine. Be sure to understand what these negative interactions are and consult your doctor if you are taking prescription medication (including antibiotics), are subject to high blood pressure, have a heart condition, or are under treatment for any health condition. Consult your physician about the use of temporary monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Medical consultation is especially important if you are taking Prozac, Paxil, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Zoloft or other antidepressants affecting serotonin levels i.e., serotonin selective re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs).These medications may require a period of up to 6 weeks to completely clear the system – they must be reduced gradually.

  • Have your last light vegetarian meal without salt, sugar, or hot sauce no later than 12 pm on the day of ceremony.

  • No meat and heavy food 24 hrs prior.

  • No alcohol consumption 5 days prior.

  • Abstain from substances that cause adverse reactions for 2 weeks prior to ceremony. These include over-the-counter pharmaceuticals like antihistamines, decongestants, cough medicines, and herbals like St. John’s Wort. Prescriptions, such as SSRIs, may require a full 6 weeks.

The Shanti Wasi team is available for support as you prepare.
